Dashing home

Vases, jars and bottles filled with jolly flowers. My colourful table top garden including the last of the lilacs. We had beautiful weather this weekend, I hope you did too.
I went to see SATC with two of my friends and then to a bar for a couple of drinks. With the backdrop of cloud splitting lightening flashes and distant rumbling thunder I dashed home trying to stay under cover from the torrential rain. I have to admit I'm an admirer of dramatic weather.
Sunday was unexpectedly sunny so I dragged the husband out of bed and for a walk (he had a few more drinks than me), gathering local cheeses and fresh bread for lunch and a stack of vintage tea plates for my next tea party.

your photos are just beautiful, as the setting is perfect!

and dramatic weather is rather exciting! i think i prefer the mild and non-sweaty/wet stuff, but it is good to shake it up every now and again. :)

we had the same dramatic weather late on Saturday after the most gorgeous sunny day at the beach... problem is the dramatic weather isn't so dramatic once it's been around for three whole days, not so much the lightning, but the relentless rain... !

love the plates and flowers, gorgeous colours... :)

Vintage plates are so much better than boring old plain white ones.

They could even make my cooking look more attractive and appetizing - no mean feat I can tell you!

Weather was bonkers too here in Northern France but I did surprisingly well at the local village brocante and bagged lots of goodies and some bowls not disimilar to your plates... happy hunting Linda x
