Cutting and sticking

How is everyone? I had a lovely weekend, managed to resist the call of the bottle as all my friends went out to watch the first England game at a bar, I stayed in and watched silly movies and ate fish and chips with a fellow world cup disowner. Sunday was spent drinking homemade smoothies, eating peanut butter smothered muffins, and adding a few items to my clothes line of inspiration in the kitchen. A little too much TV, but with no garden or the will to attempt the short walk to the beach, home we stayed. More football ensued.

The world cup is taking over here indoors too so I have been using the time to form orderly volumes of beauty, cutting and sticking all the recipes and interior image scraps the are in piles all over the house, driving my husband up the wall. But disaster has struck and I have run out of double sided tape. This would never have happened on Blue Peter. Maybe I can get some delivered with my groceries?

I hope this weekend saw you pick up where you left off on creative projects and you didn't waste too many hours with television like me, we need to make the most of balmy light evenings and early sunrise wake up calls, don't you think?

Your inspiration line looks wonderful. I think my inspiration line is flapping around with the flag on the car! I can't win! Let's hope England does.

As a fellow football unenthusiast, I spent Saturday evening in the garden enthusing about some rather lovely rose wine I've discovered with some friends! Having just ditched my day job am having a lovely time sorting out all my bits and bobs and discovering all the pages of stuff I've saved 'just in case'. Now I need to get my camera out again, too. My blog is looking a little nude.

It sounds like a lovely weekend. It's funny, I don't follow American sports at all. I can't stand them really. But I'm all a flutter over the world cup. I don't have cable so I haven't been able to watch the games yet. So I've been following online and planning on attending public viewings. I don't really care who wins, I just think it is so fun.

Hope your week is off to a good start.

On the other hand if it hadn't been for the new Google banner i would never have realized the world cup was happening. It doesn't get mentioned much around here.

Your pics as per are lovely. Of course you are right that we need to make the most of summer evenings, however sometimes the lure of the sofa is just too much to resist...

I was flying at the weekend but I love the sound of yours in theory. I actually don't think watching tv is wasting time- certainly not when it's watching old movies anyway.
