3 day weekend

So, another three day weekend and it's pouring outside, which in my book is a good thing, cosy indoors with a warm spiced lamb salad and cup of lavender tea. Filing the collection of magazine scraps I have gathered over the last few months.

I am hoping these lovely artists studio pictures by Paul Barbera will inspire me to get in that workroom and make something, his site where they create is a treasure trove of creative environments. Hope they will inspire you too.

All images Paul Barbera.

nice, reminds me of the Languedoc region of France.

Do artist/makers really manage to work in such an orderly environment? Certainly puts me to shame! I always start off with a tidy studio but after a whirlwind brush with creativity it transforms into one huge mess... Perhaps one day I'll be brave enough to post a 'true' image of my studio...(Or perhaps not).

We're having a wet having a wet weekend here in Sydney too. I could quite happily cosy up indoors were it not for the two cabin fevered children cosied up with me. I hope you enjoy yours and perhaps pop into your workroom My mission this week is to create a work 'space' as we do have a room available.

Any chance you could post the odd recipe - your food always sounds so lovely - spiced lamb yum.

It was gloomy and rainy here yesterday, too, but I made a lovely coal fire, got out a selection of my favourite fabrics and had a great time just playing. Sometimes you just need a 'grey' day like this to 'just sit' and work on an idea which has been brewing for a little while. Enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday!

Beautiful studio shots. The studio I have is shameful, mess, disorder, so difficult to keep proper. Hope the rain keeps you busy with good reading.

eautiful collection of photographs, it feels like there is a lot being done here - inspiring. Loving your blog. I can sympathise with the rain, my outdoorsy bank holiday never really got started either, but I did manage to get lots done inside all cosy and warm.
