Irish Winter

With winter scenes like this picture my sister took I am wishing I was over in southern Ireland with my mum and sister. It is just stunning on the rivers edge where we often walk the dogs when I am visiting. Hope to get there soon, maybe for my birthday, if the snow stops long enough for a plane trip.

What a lovely image! Here in western Ireland the snow lingered long enough to be rather beautiful, but this image with its still reflection is exceptional.

Beautiful image - just where i'd like to be right now for the antithesis of our heat wave

I'm hearing horrible weather reports from my Mum in Dublin (they just don't know how to cope with the snow!) but this serene image makes all that melt away!

The picture is so beautiful o___O The colours are totally different from Finland's winter, although we usually have lots of snow and freezing weather. Thanks for sharing this!

Beautiful area.It actually reminds me of where I live now (Greenwich, ct.).We live near a river that looks just like yours to which we took the dogs (2 newfies and 1 St. Bernard) this weekend....people were out ice-skating and enjoying the wintry scene.
Hope you make it home soon...

Wow, everything is glittered and frosted...really beautiful!
I am hoping for snow, here in North Carolina; we had flurries, but that is all.

Very peaceful....
