A little more of Sunday

Was spent tidying away collages that I made for Kari's year of colour and then a super muddy walk in the woods followed by delicious plate of sweet roasted vegetables for dinner.

How excited am I that it is now December!!!! I can open the first door of my advent calendar and see what festive image is hidden inside. No chocolate for us, this year I chose a pretty vintage style one. A victorian carousel dusted with glitter was too much to resist.

I'm so very glad to hear about your advent calendar not being a chocolate one....a friend and I were just discussing how much we missed the advent calendars of our childhood where it was just so thrilling to peel back the little door and see a little picture instead of a sugar fix!

my two medium-sized elves have advent calendars that have little characters/pictures to add rather than windows to open. I confess I keep them every year. And how sad is this? - we had the same advent calendar for years when I was little - we weren't allowed to tear the doors off! It was kind of nice though to see familiar pictures. I can still picture it now.

I never thought I would miss rainy days and wellies squelching through mud. Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing.

My favourite walk on a Sunday takes us past a spit-and-sawdust style pub where we have a half a Harveys with a packet of crisps and a pickled egg - bliss!
I'm just down the road from you by the way - near Battle - hello!
