Getting there

Finally I am getting around to listing some of my favourite photo prints in the shop it seems that after the hiatus of Summer, Autumn is the season that gets me inspired to get on with the things I have been procrastinating about for months.
The half finished and barely started are all getting completed now. Must be those darkening evenings and chilly winds whipping around the streets that keep me indoors sipping earl grey and sorting out my creative life.
Whatever it is I am super happy to be tying up so many loose ends. I have a bad habit of letting inspiration take over and moving too swiftly on to the next project leaving others half done.

Maybe the urgency comes from having to make better use of the lessening hours of light, this is the one aspect of Winter that I really don't like. Leaving for work in the dingy half light and returning home in the dark. My chance of taking photos limited to lunch hours and days off. So as you can imagine I am so excited to be having two weeks holiday very soon.

Happy Monday everyone.

you are so right about the inspiration of an inner creative life being positively effected by the shorter daylight and lower temperatures---a welcome rhythm for fall ! have a super week- love the photos.

there's definitely a balance between creative activity and accomplishment of tasks, something I rarely manage but aspire to. Look forward to having a browse in your shop.

I, too, seem to get a lot more done in the fall and winter, creatively speaking. It's so nice to settle into a more productive rythm and feel the pride of accomplishing something.

Macaroons on UK mail order! They hope to have it up and running to order online by the end of October and at the moment you can get 16 or 25 for £20-30 delivered to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Central London.

I can't wait until they are up and running so we can get macaroons to our door! Mmmm x

the weather is warming up here and when it's hot it's so draining on creative energy. I much prefer autumn and winter for lots of creativity although I need to create all year round. don't you love finishing things off - such a sense of accomplishment!

Those are really beautiful photos. I love autumn too - it always leaves me feeling more inspired and proactive than summer.

Lovely pictures, it's funny I am finding our increase in daylight hours so inspiring right now perhaps it is that transition from one season to the next.

Know what you mean about the shorter hours in winter time. We are into summer time now, and already I feel I have heaps more time,so the camera goes everywhere with me.

I'm mainly limited to lunch hour and evening work too, on my own projects. More credit to you for such a wonderful blog and work, though.
