unwelcome interlude

Another lovely weekend. Almost perfect. A sunny day out and a rainy day in.

Beautiful Saturday, sunny, social, seeing friends, eating great food at the local seafood and wine festival. The husbands memories of this day will be somewhat marred by a violent case of food poisoning from his arch nemesis the scallop. Twice he has had a reaction like this so he won't be braving them again.

Sunday with a fully recovered other half and a light rain all day means things can get done indoors, blog updates, garland making, simple chores including a steady stream of laundry. D is off to vegas and New York for work (it's a hard life for some) and needs all his favorite clothes which obviously he keeps at the bottom of the washing basket. Then making a huge batch of healing chicken soup, with enough extra portions saved in the freezer for a whole winters worth of under the weather days.

How did you spend your weekend?

Sounds lovely, I was in Brighton too, visiting old friends, ate at Bills and watched the world go by on the front... Lovely bunting!

oh goodness! my love suffered an attack from his enemy, the potato (strange enemy, i know!) but we recovered and baked up big batches of chili to freeze. a stocked freezer makes everything better! here's to a wonderful week!

Hello Jeska
So glad to hear that you are well again and enjoying your weekend. Shame about husbands food poisoning - yuk!
We had a lovely weekend: I got new fabric and plants both my fav things; we were gardening and collected lots of manure for the garden too! Lucky us we had a lovely sunny Sunday.
Have a good week

The seafood and wine festival sounds fun (except the food poisoning of course). The weather here was gorgeous both days and I spent them both stuck at work! I'm hoping it's beautiful tomorrow for my day off.

poor hubby! Sounds like he might be allergic to those scallops! The festival does sound divine though - two of my favourite things! xxx

i had a table at a craft bazaar over the weekend! a very long day, i might add. but drinks with friends that evening made it all better. :)

Hope the other half is feeling better.
My weekend was spent mainly with family, inlaws on Friday. A relaxed Saturday where the weather was beautiful and I took a leisurely trip to buy some baklava (turkish sweet pastry) Sunday was Eid so it was again all about the family and loved ones. One of the fastest weekends I've had for a while.
