kitchen things

I spend so much time in my kitchen baking taking pictures and watching my husband prepare delicious feasts. So I am always on the look out for accessories and things that can add to our dining experience. New House Textiles is a family business run by John and Nick Stanier, all the companies products are manufactured in England or Sweden using bright, simple, graphic images that would add cheer to any kitchen. My favourite design is 'Herring', but if you want to spoil me (Dean), I would love any of the fabulous tea towels or a set of the 'Daily menu' paper napkins.

Wow, do I sound like some 1950's housewife? Our first anniversary is only days away and I am asking to be spoilt with tea towels and napkins!

Ha! I have been reading (and loving) your blog for a while because we seem to like the same things, but when I saw this post I almost fell off my rustic, paint chipped stool! I am just designing a new brochure for work and have used the same NHT stuff as a reference - so had been on their site loads last week ( bizarrely I hadn't ever heard of them before, despite living only 30 mins away from them!) spooky. I just love the handwriting over the photos on the website too.
By the way - I think your blog is FAB. But I can't work out what your profession is (apart from general style maker, domestic dream creator etc etc!) Would love to know.
best wishes, Merry

Thanks you so much for this link. I have seen these prints in magazines such as Skona Hem but did not know who made them. I have always wanted to get the blue fish print teatowel.

You just can't have enough towels and napkins and the napkins are so much better then the paper ones.
Your post are a joy to read and look at, they give me so many ideas. Keep posting x

Uh oh - you better have dinner ready by the time he walks in the door tonight! haha - just kidding - I love tea towels and kitchen stuff but I don't even cook - if all homes come with a kitchen we might as well make them look nice!

I'd love those tea towels too! I use the ones I have all the time-- nothing better than a perfectly pressed tea towel-- but these are especially fabulous. I might have to do some shopping and spoil myself.
Happy one year anniversary. I've been married for 15! I love being married :-)
