Cut out and keep

These are some favorite pages from one of my old interiors scrapbooks.

Torn papers I have kept for years but still fuel my imagination. I am happy to know my tastes haven't been fair weather. That some things will always inspire me. Linens, old lace, delicate details, pink blooms, a little glint of crystal paired with tarnished metal.

The article in the last image was from US Elle a few years back. I love the few choice items left in the wardrobe after the fixers are gone. It always inspires me to tidy and edit my clothes each season. I hope if you click the image the text is large enough to read.

I'm going to read this tonight. The images are - as always - amazing and inspiring.

It's always reassuring to see consistencies in your taste over the years, isn't it?!

Thanks for a peek at this. Your scarpbook pages are beautiful! I just started doing the same thing a few months ago and am really enjoying it.

Beautiful scrapbooks.
I have done the same since about 10 years and still love to go through them.

I'm enjoying your collages. Do you use a glue stick or mix glue with water?

I done it before but mine's not as neat and beautiful as yours. Usually i will just cut it out from newspaper only. I treasure my magazine so i don't want to cut it from there. ^_^

I do this too and have realized that many of my tastes have stayed the same.

I really should start doing this. I love all the images. Plus, if I took the time to pull out the pages I liked, I could actually throw away some stuff.

These are really beautiful.

Beautiful blog! Saw it from the "Blogs of Note" page. Wish I was as artistic as you clearly are!

I love the header too - bread and cheese, the good things in life :-)

P.S. How come the blog is called "Lobster and Swan" - what's the inspiration behind that?
