Castle garden

Just revisiting my day out that was Sunday. Spent with my family at Leeds castle in Kent. Wish I was outside again today. There was blossom of all kinds. The interior was amazing. Tapestries and oil paintings. Lovely guides sharing their knowledge. A maze and an underground grotto intricately decorated with shells and sea plants. Plus a side order of lots and lots of sunshine. Wonderful day.

Oh, those abundant blooming apples! It's so sad that their flowers don't last longer. Their subtle scent reminds me of white magnolias. I also love the way you joined the pictures of the peacock and of the flower pot. They give a misterious Oriental air to the castle.

beautiful pictures! i'd love to have a tree like that in my garden! but i don't think a tropical climate would be suitable for it :/

It is so beautiful there! Sadly I have only ever been when it was pouring down rain, so I'm quite jealous.

I love the details you've pulled out in this, quite extraordinary it makes the place look so alive and not the dusty old castle I remember from my youth... mind you I don't think any blossoms were out at that time

Hello! I think this is my first time commenting here. I have to say--a castle in Kent sounds lovely. I could use that in my life right about now.

I love that photo combination of the peacock and the flowerpot. Lovely.

What beautiful photos! Full of Spring's glory. Leeds Castle is so lovely, isn't it? I went there a few years ago and was quite taken with it's beauty. That was a sunny day too - I went with a friend on the Orient Express from London as a celebration for her 40th Birthday. I hope you have had an easier day today and that you've been able to eat all your dessert! Denise x
