I could have danced all night

I have had such a great day off. I feel like I'm on cloud nine. Firstly, dear sweet Brittany Noel let me know that record the day was featured on design sponge's guest blog which is written this week by Roseline from this is glamourous. Then I watched my fair lady and laughed along to the hilarious dialogue. How amazing is Eliza's dress when she attends the ball? It would make a fabulous wedding dress. As it is not available one of these stunning modern alternatives from Jenny Packam might do?

I've never watched MFL. Must do that soon.
So glad you get another shout out. So deserving.Congrats.
Completely irrelevant but you have a lovely name. (I didn't know what it was but saw it on the Once Wed site)

I love My Fair Lady- and saw Pygmalion at the Old Vic this summer which was similarly gorgeous. Lots of the lines in MFL are direct from George Bernard Shaw and some of the observations are fabulous. Particularly about people with class treating everyone the same and that kind of thing.

Glad you had such a great day.

MFL was one of my childhood favorites, and I LOVE all the gorgeous dresses in the film. This one is so romantic and lovely.

Kate Winslet's wedding dress for her first marriage was based on Eliza's dress from My Fair Lady, but with a long sleeve added - pics here and here. I *think* it was made by Alexander McQueen, although I may have misremembered that. Stunning, though.

That dress, the beading! The modern dresses and their layers. My brain is mush. In the best way possible. Thanks for ending my day on such a beautiful note, Jess!

MFL is quite possibly my favourite move. Gorgeous art direction and costumes. I just recently watched a version of the musical on stage.
