cinderella story

I have been browsing through my Rachel Ashwell interiors book over the weekend looking for inspiration on how to decorate for the taster evening that my sister and I are going to hold this saturday. I love the girlishness of all these pink details. As there are no men invited it doesn't matter if the pink is overwhelming!
The crumpled linen table cloth and pretty tea cups and glasses used here would be ordinary on their own but pulled together in this way they are fit for a princess. My imagination is running riot now imagining tiny birds, mice and squirrels preparing a magical feast while I just rest my eyes for a minute and catch forty winks.

Images from Rachel Ashwell and Walt Disney.

this is so lovely :) love all the pink details too, uhhmmmm would love to try that pink lemonade, instead I'm drinking the iced rooibos. Didn't do with mint and honey because the rooibos is already flavoured with cinnamon I only added some lemon and it's too good...

Hey...even being a boy doesn't stop me from loving pink. It's such a happy color! And for a party it would look splendid! Particularly when the light is a bit dimmer, everyone would look fantastic too :)

I'd say your work is done, Jess. Well, one part anyway :)

Thanks sofia-I'm off to try some of my Vanilla rooibos with lemon mmmmm.

Hey uncle, The exclusion was more about the boys bad manners than their colour preferences but sshhh we won't tell them that.

Although when cake and desserts are involved I'm not sure about my girl friends manners either!

I have always dreamt about having that dress. Every Christmas Eve there is a Disney show on TV here in Norway and this has been my favorite dress since I was very very young.

it's so nice to see the connection the imagination can make between two pictures..
when i see a perfect little cute dress, i ALWAYS picture it during fabrication, with birds, mice and squirrels sewing it :D
